Fungicide resistance is a serious problem in the crop production community. Currently, there are nearly 200 known disease pathogens that have evolved resistance to commonly used fungicides, with approximately 50 of these being specifically resistant to the strobilurin class of fungicides (FRAC code 11) and over 30 diseases resistant to the triazole fungicide class (FRAC code 3). In some cases, pathogens have developed resistance in as little as two years. For example, Powdery Mildew – a disease commonly affecting wheat – and Frogeye Leaf Spot – a soybean disease – have both become resistant to these commonly used fungicides.
A common agronomic best practice for a resistance management program includes alternating or tank mixing fungicides that have different modes of action or FRAC codes. Doing so can extend the efficacy of your current fungicide offerings.
The hallmark of REGALIA® Rx is its unique (FRAC P5) Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR) mode of action; it's the only such fungicide on the market.
Induced Systemic Resistance is a proactive process that switches on the plant’s defense mechanisms when REGALIA® Rx is applied, in the absence of a pathogen. The ISR process works in the following ways:
With REGALIA® Rx, your crop is better protected against a wide array of disease pathogens.
Provides broad disease management and plant health benefits for the organic market. A cost-effective improvement to an existing conventional fungicide program that bolsters plant health and crop performance potential.
One-of-a-kind (FRAC P5) EPA-registered Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR) mode of action fungicide.
Provides broad utility across a variety of crops and application timings. Tank mixes with many commonly used fungicides across numerous crops and broad application windows for the conventional market.
Improved plant health, resulting in greater yield potential.
CORN Add to fungicide at V4-V7, or at tassel SOYBEANS Add to fungicide at R1-R3 WHEAT Add to fungicide at flag-leaf emergence TOBACCO Add to fungicide during the period from layby to contact sprays SUGAR BEETS Add to fungicide when conditions first favor disease
Apply alone or in rotation with other approved organic fungicides for disease prevention and suppression or to improve plant vigor by increasing photosynthesis and protein content.
CORN Apply at V4-V7, or at tassel SOYBEANS Apply at R1-R3 WHEAT Apply at flag-leaf emergence
Experience has shown that REGALIA® Rx is compatible with many nonionic surfactants. Always jar test compatibility before use.
REGALIA® Rx fungicide delivers potential yield uplift when used in combination with conventional broad-acre foliar fungicide programs.
*Based on data collected from 140+ trials conducted between 2013 - 2016 by Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc. and Koch Agronomic Services. In these trials, REGALIA® Rx + fungicide increased yield compared to fungicide alone in 77% of the corn trials, 85% of the wheat trials, and 67% of the soybean trials. The average yield benefits shown represent data from the trials in which the grower fungicide + REGALIA® Rx resulted in a yield increase compared to the yield delivered by use of the grower fungicide alone. All users should keep in mind that results may vary based on a number of factors, including environmental conditions.
